The game levels are placed on tracked images reliably with precision through Vuforia. We hope to use markerless tracking in the future through cloud anchors.
We used Photon PUN2 APIs for creating multiplayer features such as hosting a game room, joining one, and syncing actions in real-time.
I had the opportunity to dive into VFX and post-processing on Unity. I used particle systems and shader graphs to achieve visual consistency and make assets that are more geared towards AR gameplay.
We observed how participants were reacting and communicating through these sessions. This validated the game concept and brought feedback for constraints and features.
It's incredible to see people trying and enjoying our work. We shared the project as an experience installation at the 2022 University of Washington Design exhibition.
